Silversmith and Jeweller Zoe Watts will guide you through the process of making your own unique pair of sterling silver hoop earrings.

You will explore the art of mark-making, using very old specialist steel punches to individualise your creation, adding texture and style. Zoe will walk you through each step of the process, where you will gain an insight into several jewellery making techniques including, filing, shaping and soldering.

You will be working with tools and equipment that can be potentially hazardous if due care and attention is not taken; we therefore ask that participants are over the age of 16, wear suitable clothing including shoes or boots that cover and protect the feet. Long hair must be tied back and rings, scarfs and other dangling or loose clothing must be removed prior to the start of the class. If you would like to bring an apron or overall please feel free.

All workshop materials are provided and at the end of the day you will go home with your very own hand-crafted pair of silver earrings. This class does not require past experience in jewellery making or metal work.
