The landscape can appear a little bleak in early spring after all the glorious colours of Autumn and Christmas, but look a little closer and you will see many shades of colour and texture in the Hedgerows. From the bright red of dogwood , the silver grey of snowberry, and olive green of ash, to the vibrant colours of this season's willows.  We will use them all to celebrate the short season of Hedgerow Basketmaking. Join willow artist and tutor, Helen Lomberg, in a creative day working with willow to make a stunning Hedgerow based basket using locally grown materials. Working in a small group and with lots of support from Helen, you will learn traditional basket making techniques and weave a colourful and unique basket. You could make a colourful fruit basket, platter or tray or even a small basket with a simple handle.

All materials are provided, but if you’d like to bring your own secateurs you are most welcome. Please wear old clothes as it can get a bit mucky!
