During this fun and relaxed one day workshop, Printmaker and Fabric Designer Lizzie Mabley will guide you through the process of designing and carving your own lino printing block.  You will use your block to experiment with different colours and repeat patterns and print on to different types of fabric.  All materials will be provided and you will go home with your unique design printed on a printed tea towel, cotton bag and a small length of fabric to make into something at home - a cushion cover, lampshade, napkins etc…

This course is suitable for beginners as well as those who have done some lino printing before, the day will be relaxed and informal.  

We will be working on a design of approximately 10 x 10 cm so if you have any ideas, please bring them along and Lizzie will help you simplify your design if necessary.  There will be lots of ideas to help you and examples of previous students work to show you what is achievable in the day.

Please bring old clothes or an apron as the inks we use will stain!
