Lara Skowronska

Lara Skowronska is a costume maker, designer and pattern cutter specialising in bespoke pieces. Lara's background is in Costume Making, she has a BA in costume for performance from Bournemouth Arts and has produced a diverse range of work stitching for a range of clients from Alexander McQueen and The Royal Opera House to Giffords Circus. She has worked as a self employed maker since 2012 within tv, film, theatre and circus.

With a variety of costume work through-out the industry she likes to create bespoke pieces that fit a purpose, be that a specialist catsuit for a contortionist or a headdress thats just for festival fun. Making is a delight and making pieces that fit the brief and make people smile is what it's all about. 

More recently alongside her own practice lara has started running costume making workshops and working in the set build side of the industry.
